This one of the more interesting jobs we've done.
We have wired and lit a couple of Art Gallery's.
But none of them have been like the Art Merge.
It's housed in an old building from the 40's.
You can see the original ceiling and the mason
work on the outside walls.
They wanted to use every bit of wall space they could.
And yet keep as much of the lighting
out of the way as possible.
What we came up with was the use of Track lighting.

Nothing new, but it did keep in the look and budget they where needing.
We hid most of the Track Lighting behind the I Beams.
And Hung some out in the Middle of the room, keeping them
in line with one another as to keep them
from cluttering up the view.
We also used Halogen Flood Bulbs,
and Halogen Spots.
On some of the Tracks that hang out in
the middle of the room, Floods will not
light up the painting like a spot will
from 20' away. The bulb selection can make
a painting look Great or just ok.

Halogen bulbs are a pure white light.
Not yellow like a regular bulbs.
Halogen bulbs will bring out the color in any picture.
We even use them in the recess cans and Eye Ball Trims .

This is what they did with the Warehouse part of the same building
By putting up a metal mess type of wall, they can use hooks to hang
art work . This Very industrial look is most complementing to the type of
art work they hang here.

Unfortunately the Art Merge is no longer in business.
This was a fun place with great friends. They will be missed
