This is a Hallway on the second floor
That once the client has moved in,
Will have Family Pictures hung from
one end to the other. We knew this on
the Rough end of the project, and installed
Lightolier Recessed Cans.
This type of trim can be focused
on the walls with a wide flood bulb.
The result will be complete coverage
of the pictures. Notice the arc the light
is casting on the wall. When the final
Trim and bulb is installed , this will
go away leaving only the pictures lit.

This is a nice Fixture. Its weight
is around 100lbs . We have hung fixtures
more than 500 lbs . If you have a heavy Fixture
Make sure the person that is doing your work
has done so before. You don't want to be his
Learning Experience. Blocking and Wiring for a
Fixture is just half of the task. How to get the
Fixture up without breaking it or the walls is
The real trick. We have rope and pulleys of coarse,
but we can also supply you with a Wench.
This is a permanently installed wench that can
Raise and Lower your fixture with the ease of
turning a switch. This is nothing new ,
they have been around for a long time
but like everything else, they have improved over the years.

Speaking of things that have been around
for awhile. We used Track Lighting at one
of our more Fun jobs. The Art Merge.

This is a great Example of Bulb selection.
If you don't have the proper bulb lighting up the object
you wish to be the focal point in your home,
The result can be flat.
Here they have a constant rotating stock. So a permanent
light fixture like a Recess Can, would not be the best
answer. They need to be able to move the fixtures them self
to light up the new artwork as it comes in. Here in this picture,
This wall is only 9' tall and the walkway is only 3' wide.
So a large bulb would not work. It would blind the person
as they walked by. But on the other side of the room , the wall
is 20' Tall and 40' long. So a Large bulb is needed.
This is discussed further in this Project. Click on the picture

Here is one of the homes we are working on.
This 15000 square foot house is in the style
of ultra formal. The home owner did not want
to see any kind of lighting. So, we used the
Lightolier cans . On the trim we will use
a trim with a small 1"
opening that can be painted
to match the ceiling .
With the uses of
focus lenses we can,
as on the other job , only
place light on the floor and not the walls.
Pictured here are some of the many kinds of lenses.
With there use , we can make a spot only a few inches wide,
or 6' around even light. We can change the color or shape
of the light. Producing amazing things.

In that same home, we used a lighting system called a Grafik Eye,
this is what the system looks like.
Click on the images above to go see video clips of the Grafik Eye
in use.

This is a Very Simple system
to use. Anyone can program the basic "Scene".
A Scene is where you assign any number of lights to come on
with a button. Just click on a button, and you have a Scene.
In this home , we placed this unit in closets, out of site.
Then we used the keypads in the rooms.
in many places there where as many as 8 switches.
This system eliminates the need for so many switches
and replaces it with a nice sleek look.
This is just one of the many colors they come in.

We also used the Radio RA system , also by Lutron.
This is a wireless control system. Meaning that it
there is no special wiring need to make the system
work. When used with the Grafik Eye, it can give Total
control over all of the lighting.

At the moment we do not supply any products over the internet.
We only supply to the customers we build homes for. Due to
Warranty from the factories and the programming involved with
the Lutron products.
